Sammy Davis, Jr. live at the Cocoanut Grove
I've never been able to find this album anywhere else aside from in my meager little record collection. I can never remember where I found it, a garage sale, thrift shop, record store. I haven't a clue, I've had it for years. It's all scratched up, it pops, it clicks and the odd hiss. But oh man! this album! Songs by Cole Porter and little numbers from West Side Story, bongo jams and impressions? what could be better? And all by a Back Jewish guy that hungout with Sinatra and Dean Martin. Perhaps someday when your over and the room is smokey, its the middle of the night you can remind me and we will play play this album into the morning.
